Ever since I was small, I have loved to write. I have stacks of old stories that I used to author and (tragically) illustrate, so blogging seemed like a natural next step in the digital age.

My dream has always been to live in Europe, and my husband and I were blessed with an amazing opportunity to move to Zurich, Switzerland in March of 2013. This blog was originally titled “Swiss Missus”, and we spent 7.5 wonderful years occupying our time with travel, fashion, eating, and making new friends.

The best adventure of them all during our time in Switzerland was the birth of our beautiful daughter, Matilda, in 2017.

Then the world stopped in 2020 and it was a time of reflection and reevaluation for many people. For us, that meant returning back to our beloved home town of Chicago, and the Swiss Missus was transformed into the Chicago Style Missus.

I still travel, I still shop too much, and I still eat, just in a different part of the world. Read on to learn more about my adventures, Chicago Style!
